admitad charity boost: Kiev Chestnut run
On 28th of May 2017 in Kiev at Mykhailivska Square at 10:00 will start Kiev Chestnut Run – the largest annual sports and charitable event in Ukraine. Over 15 000 participants of Kiev Chestnut Run annually take part in the race to save hundreds of children’s lives. This year our admitad Ukrainian dreamteam is encouraged to participate in a Chestnut run to help to collect the maximum amount of funds for Scientific and Practical Medical Center of Pediatric Cardiology and Cardiac Surgery MoH Ukraine. The funds raised during the charitable event will be directed to purchase the necessary equipment and medical supplies for this Medical Center.
Thanks to the Race’s participants, the first device for membrane oxygenation, also called an “artificial heart” was purchased for the Center in 2010, and in 2013 – the third in Ukraine CS300 counterpulsation device (the device supports the blood pressure of young patients during the surgery), as well as other equipment, surgical supplies and even new heating infrastructure.
Despite the fact that only 40% of Ukrainian children with cardiac condition can be treated on time, the number of lives saved increased over the years. Now 16 times more children are being saved annually!
